I put down a batch of Tall Fescue I bought from you last Labor Day, but have not ever applied fertilizer to the lawn. What type of fertilizer (i.e. 24-2-12, etc.) should I apply this spring, and when should I apply it? THANKS!

Any type of lawn fertilizer should work well. You want to aim to apply one pound of nitrogen per 1000 sqft. You can find out how much you need to apply by taking your area in square feet and dividing it by 1000. Then take that number and divide it by the first number on the bag (which is a percent) eg 10,000 sqft / 1000 = 10 ... 10 / .24 = about 42 lbs

Fertilizer should be applied in March, and then again in May.
