The F@3$%7 squirrels in my neighborhood like to dig holes in the ground. I am afraid they will dig up my new SOD, short of poison or a shotgun, how do others deal with these varmits?

The squirrels are most likely looking for food. The source of their food changes with the seasons. You could supplement the surrounding food with shelled corn away from the sod. Good luck!
